Amy Elizabeth Martinez, age 37, passed from life to life everlasting, June 1, 2018, at her home in Sylmar, California.

Amy is survived by her parents Judy Scudder Martinez, mother, and Daniel Rivas Martinez, father, of Sylmar, California; and her siblings Joseph Chavez, of Lakewood, CO; and Melinda Martinez, of Denver, CO. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Charlene "Nan" Scudder; her maternal grandfather, Glade Scudder; her paternal grandmother, Virginia Martinez; her paternal grandfather, Daniel Martinez; her great-grandmother, Annabelle "Mimi" Nunley; and her great-grandfather, Leo "Gramps" Elam.

Amy was born in Northridge, California on October 20, 1980, to her parents, Danny and Judy Martinez. She graduated from Thompson Valley High School in 1999 and went on to study at University of Colorado in Boulder. An accomplished artist, Amy enjoyed art in many forms, and founded her own company "Butterflies by Amy, LLC." In 2005 she moved to Southern California to pursue a career as an actor and model, where she was recently slated for the lead role in the IMDb production "A Flower Grows".

A devout Christian all her life, Amy was passionate about her faith, her family, her friends, her pets, and her art. Amy's family and friends will remember her most for her love for God and her family, for her friends and her pets, and for her heart to help others. Words fail...

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Amy's honor Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 12:00pm, at Utter-McKinley San Fernando Mission Mortuary Chapel, 11071 Columbus Avenue, Mission Hills, California 91345, (818) 361-4751.
