Amy is survived by her parents Judy Scudder Martinez, mother, and Daniel Rivas Martinez, father, of Sylmar, California; and her siblings Joseph Chavez, of Lakewood, CO; and Melinda Martinez, of Denver, CO. Amy was born in Northridge, California on October 20, 1980, to her parents, Danny and Judy Martinez. An accomplished artist, Amy enjoyed art in many forms, and founded her own company "Butterflies by Amy, LLC." In 2005 she moved to Southern California to pursue a career as an actor and model, where she was recently slated for the lead role in the IMDb production "A Flower Grows".

A devout Christian all her life, Amy was passionate about her faith, her family, her friends, her pets, and her art. Amy's family and friends will remember her most for her love for God and her family, for her friends and her pets, and for her heart to help others. Words fail...
